Update from: 06/08/06
Some of you may have suspected that I forgot how to update this website! While not true, we certainly have not been very diligent with it. Should just make you appreciate it more… or something.
New pics added from the end of February through June and lots of news to share too! Mark is a full-blown walker, even gets going at a little trot if the wind is right and gravity isn’t too strong. Samantha has just started walking short distances this week and is really enjoying her successes!
The twins amaze us each day with the things they learn. It’s different with Elizabeth as she says “Mommy/Daddy, watch this!” So we know it’s new. With Mark & Samantha we have to go back to observation mode to pick up all of their new skills. Along with Mama, Dada and some variations of Hi, Bye, Grape & Puppy (the last two are critical to Mark’s existence says him), they both have a growing vocabulary of understood words and it’s so fun to watch them figure stuff out!
Elizabeth is a great big sister, often running around giving her brother and sister hugs and kisses and helping them do things. She’s at home this summer with Erica (our nanny) and the little kids, looking forward to starting pre-school this fall and sure is growing up fast!
On a quick personal note, I had a small bout with endocarditis (heart infection) at the end of April (6 weeks IV antibiotics, icky) so I can get cleaned up to have hernia surgery (icky part 2) in mid June. The hernia hasn’t slowed me down too much with the kids which is great, this whole getting old thing is a drag…
